What is discipline ?
Discipline is a common element in BDSM play
and is even sometimes
represented by the letter "D" in this acronym.
Discipline refers to the
practice of training a submissive to obey a Dominant
and to follow certain
rules.
It is most common during submissive or slave training,
but
discipline is also present in all aspects of the relationship
between a Dominant and a submissive.
Although punishment can go hand in hand with
discipline,
it typically focuses more on helping a submissive to learn
what
is expected of them
and how to act accordingly.
For instance,
if a
submissive makes an honest mistake,
it is the Dominant's responsibility
to discipline her/him
by showing her/him the proper way to do something.
Punishment usually occurs only when a submissive willfully breaks a
rule.
It is important to note that those in the BDSM community
It is important to note that those in the BDSM community
view the
ability to submit
as a source of empowerment for the submissive.
Although punishment often goes hand in
hand with discipline,
it is not the only aspect of it.
For example,
when
a submissive does something
in such a way that it does not please a Dominant,
the submissive will usually need to be disciplined.
This
usually involves the Dominant explaining what He or She disliked
as well
as teaching the submissive how to do it properly.
In some cases, a
punishment may also be used
to help a submissive learn a particular
lesson better.
However, the punishment should always be related to the
infraction.
For example,
a proper punishment for speaking out of turn
may be forbidding speaking or enforcing silence
with a gag for a certain
amount of time.

Tuesday's weekly task
Research from the E - e - List
Electrical Play
Electrical play is any type of BDSM play (sexual or non-sexual)
where
electricity is used on the body to create different sensations.
The most
common electrical toys are neon /violet wands and TENS units.
Both neon
wands and violet wands use static electricity to create
a "shocking"
feeling on the skin.
TENS units work off of the electricity within our
bodies
to cause involuntary muscular contractions.
This type of play is fairly common among BDSM players,
as it can be
incredibly versatile and used in a variety of scenes.
Electrical play is
often easy to learn, and is permitted at most public BDSM parties,
even
those with stricter play guidelines.
Enjoyed by beginners and seasoned
players alike,
electrical toys have a great range in intensity,
from
very light and sensual to heavy and painful.
At its lowest setting, many
compare the violet wand
to the feeling of warm champagne on the skin.
Lower settings on the TENS unit create a deeper muscular throbbing
feeling,
which can be experienced by some as tingling,
prickling,
vibrating, or buzzing.
Electrical play is fairly safe over all,
but it
is important to keep electrical toys away from the heart,
and they
should never be used on people with pacemakers
or other medical implants,
or on people who are pregnant
or who have any type of heart condition.

i heard a lot about the violet wand,
so i'm curious and would surely like to try that one
and the neon wand too
i'm not sure about the TENS unit

difference between a submissive and a slave
A submissive retains the power over themselves and their
body.
A slave has one option for the most point. Obey or leave!
Does a slave have the options of telling Master “no”??
- Not
if they want to continue to stay with Him.
A submissive is someone who negotiates; a slave does not.
A submissive has limits;
a slave has given up all limits
except those which her owner sets for her.
A submissive obeys and serves by choosing to do so each time
and retains her will.
A slave initially makes a choice to obey her Master at
all times and then submits
to the will of her Master at all times.
A submissive accepts submission,
while a slave accepts
obedience.
A submissive has retained some rights within the context of
the D/s relationship,
whereas a slave has given up all rights and becomes, in
effect, property.
A slave is not allowed to sit on furniture or wear clothes,
and always kneels at her owner’s feet.
A submissive has a safe-word to end play,
while a slave has
consented to no-consent.
A slave must be a submissive,
but a submissive is not
necessarily a slave.
Being a submissive is just a step on the way to the
“ultimate” state of submission,
which is being a slave.
(submissive / slave : kinkly, com)
A submissive is a sexual participant who willingly gives up either some or all
control
to a Dominant partner.
This type of partnership is often
referred as a dominant/submissive (D/s)
partnership.
A submissive might also be called a "bottom"
while the dominant partner might be called a "top".
There are varying degrees of D/s relationships.
Some men and women only
play at being submissive during certain times,
such as during sex or
when in a BDSM club.
Others may live as full-time submissive and
relinquishes control to their Dominants
in all aspects of their lives.
A slave is an individual who relinquishes all of his or her power to a Dominant partner
in a BDSM total power exchange relationship.
Generally,
slaves are considered to be the property of their owners in the BDSM
community and not as people.
They must be subservient to their partners,
ask permission before they do anything, and be available for sexual
activities
whenever it is requested.
In addition, slaves are often
subject to punishment
if they deviate from their duties.
The decision to become a slave is not one that should be taken lightly.
It often involves completely giving up control of every aspect of your
life
including when you can use the bathroom.
Some slaves may even enter
into master/slave contract.
While these aren't usually legally binding,
slaves or masters who break these contracts are usually frowned upon by
other members of the BDSM community unless there is a good reason.
Before committing to a master/slave relationship,
be sure to take some
time to decide if giving up complete control of your life
to another is
what you want.
If not, you may simply be a
submissive which generally
does not require a total power exchange.
Would i ever want to be a slave ?
i haven't think about by now seriously as i'm new
to the lifestyle
i don't know if i would be able to give up
all control, in every aspect of my life
fear of getting taken advantage and being abused
would have need to be torn down to a minimum first
i must trust that person with my life
i must love that person
i found something on kinkly.com
and think that would be the only way / type of slave
i would be able and willing to agree on
- if at all
love slave
A love slave is a submissive participant in a BDSM relationship.
Driven by love, a love slave will go to great lengths to receive the
affection
of the Dominant.
Love slaves put the interests of
their Dominant partner first
even if it is inconvenient.
Their only goal
is to make their Dominant happy.
In return, Dominants will lavish their
slaves with affection.
A love slave acts obediently and submits to the
will of his or her
Dominant partner.
This may include completing acts of service,
wearing
outfits of the Dominant’s choosing,
and engaging in sexual acts as
requested.
While the term love slave might seem degrading
to people
outside the BDSM community,
love slaves insist that their role is not
humiliating or demeaning in any way.
Some people confuse the term love slave for sex slave,
although most members of the BDSM community note a clear distinction.
